ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The 2026 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner. On Thursday, June 11, soccer, football and fútbol fans from across the globe will gather to watch the beginning of the tournament. Read our list of places to watch the World Cup in Asheville this June.

Where and when to watch the World Cup

Olde London Road

The exterior of soccer pub Olde London Road is decorated with international flags for the FIFA World Cup.

Several bars and breweries in town will host World Cup watch parties this year, but the most regular will be Olde London Road, an English-style soccer pub located at 270 Depot St. in the River Arts District.

Olde London will be hosting a watch party for every single game of the World Cup, including late night matches. However, attendance is limited. Each match will have 50 reserved spots available. Interested guests can ask to sign up at the bar, where they can jot their name down for each game in the tournament, though many of the hotly anticipated matches have already filled up. Otherwise, attendees can try their luck day-of, where around 100 people will be admitted inside for each match. Families are invited to bring their kids, but games after 8 p.m. will be restricted to ages 21 and up.

The pub will also set up a big screen outdoors, with “an exterior bar and restrooms, shade tents and tons of outdoor games to keep fans occupied while they wait,” Olde London owner Amber Arthur wrote on Facebook.

“So way more than 150 can attend, but just not all will be able to go inside,” Arthur said. “Happy Cup, this is going to be an exciting one!”
