5 Asheville men arrested: Magic mushrooms and stolen motorcycle among confiscated items

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Community Oriented Policing team has arrested five individuals on felony warrants in West Asheville after receiving tips from the community.

The COPS team executed a search warrant at 4 Coffey Circle, also known as 135 Stradley Mtn. Road, near the intersection of Sardis Road and Brevard Road, where they arrested Daniel Roberts, Jonathan Friedman, Bobby Gus Wilson III, Daniel Clay Reynolds and Thomas Anderson on multiple felony warrants.

BSCO confiscated 20.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, methamphetamine, a stolen motorcycle, multiple stolen driver’s licenses and social security cards and a notary stamp during the arrest.

“The success of this team is a testament to our commitment to serving our community,” said BCSO District 1 Captain Dustan Auldredge in a statement. “Information provided by our community members is key to helping us target our resources where they are needed and address reoccurring problems. This is just the beginning. There will be more of these operations and more arrests.”
