During the registration period (12:01am on Monday, April 6,2026 through 11:59am on Friday, May 8, 2026), entrants can complete a contest registration form at any participating Asheville Media Group website each day to become the winner of the $12,000 Home Makeover 2026 Contest with a Grand Prize of $12,000 in prizes including: $10,000 to spend as store credit with designated prize partner sponsors (Window World of Asheville, Madden’s Ace Hardware, French Broad Flooring, Willow Creek Hearth & Leisure, Blossman Gas & Appliance, Best Buy Metals, All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning, Asheville Garage Door and John McClung Roofing); $1900 Sleep On It Mattress Outlet Hendersonville gift certificate; $100 VISA Gift Card. The participant will enter their information for the contest on their initial entry form available at 828newsNOW.com and linked to the Contests Section at MyMix965.com, 1059TheMountain.com, 981TheRiver.com, RewindAsheville.com, OutlawAsheville.com, or WISESportsRadio.com, and then the information will be repopulated each time they enter the contest.

Each entrant can enter once per day for the duration of the promotion ending May 8, 2026 at 11:59am. Grand Prize includes $12,000 in prizes (retail value) including $1900 gift certificate prize from partner Sleep On It Mattress Outlet Hendersonville, $100 VISA Gift Card and $10,000 in store credit from designated business prize partner sponsors. The Grand Prize winner will have $10,000 in store credit to spend at any combination of the following named business prize partner sponsors for services rendered: Window World of Asheville, Madden’s Ace Hardware, French Broad Flooring, Willow Creek Hearth & Leisure, Blossman Gas & Appliance, Best Buy Metals, All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning, Asheville Garage Door and John McClung Roofing.

On Monday, May 11, 2026 a representative of WTMT 105.9 The Mountain will randomly select a winner from all eligible entries. The winner will be notified on the AM Drive WTMT 105.9 The Mountain at 7:20am on Monday, May 11, 2026 and again on PM Drive WOXL-FM Mix 96.5 at 5:40pm. The winner will also receive a phone call from Asheville Media Group with official notification that they have won $12,000 Home Makeover 2026 Contest.

As a condition of winning, the Grand Prize Winner will be required to execute and deliver to Saga Communications of North Carolina, LLC, a release and hold harmless agreement. After the Grand Prize winner is contacted, the winner claim their $1900 Sleep On it Mattress Outlet Gift Certificate and $100 VISA Gift Card at Asheville Media Group (1190 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806) during Prize Pick Up Hours (Monday – Friday, 12:00-4:00pm).

The Grand Prize winner will have 30 calendar days to determine which of the contest prize partners the winner would like to use the $10,000 credit with. Home Makeover Prize partner sponsors include and may be subject to change: Window World of Asheville, Madden’s Ace Hardware, French Broad Flooring, Willow Creek Hearth & Leisure, Blossman Gas & Appliance, Best Buy Metals, All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning, Asheville Garage Door and John McClung Roofing.

The winner will contact the appropriate representative at Asheville Media Group (in this case Shannon Steele ssteele@ashevillemediagroup.com) to confirm IN WRITING how much of the prize amount should be allocated to each prize partner business; however, this list must use all of the prize money, and any amount not allocated in this writing will be forfeited. Asheville Media Group will then issue checks to the appropriate prize partners based on instruction from the winner. The winner can choose to spend as little as $200 with any prize partner business and up to the full $10,000 with any prize partner business. The entire $10,000 amount must be allocated to the participating prize partner sponsor business(es). The prize is not transferrable or redeemable for cash. The Grand Prize winner will have until Friday, November 13, 2026, to spend their store credit with $10,000 Home Makeover 2026 Contest prize partner(s) sponsor(s) of their choice. The Grand Prize winner is responsible for any costs that exceed $10,000.

Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries, and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any online registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void. This contest is open to all eligible participants who are legal residents of the United States as determined by the Company, aged 21 or older, are current homeowners at the time of entry, and who have not won anything on 828newsNOW.com, WTMT, WOXL, WOXL-HD2, WTMT-HD2, WTMT HD3 and WISE in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $2,000 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. No purchase necessary. Asheville Media Group’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. Asheville Radio Group will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes.
